- SafferMaster says: “By definition, assuming consent all around, they could, but, the argument I am making is that based on my experience, rituals occur both naturally and/or intentionally. I am making the case that being intentional in a power dynamic enhances workability. This is to say that I am speaking about relationships between two (or more) people. Without the benefit of a protocol, there is always the question “did I do that to my Dom’s satisfaction?” The value of a protocol is that the sub – who is service oriented – has confidence in his or her interpretation of the moment, and the Dom can give attention to some other aspect of the dynamic that needs attention.”
